Minimal Style, Maximum Impact.
This season Melissa Del Bono, Creative Director has added new pastel shades and luxurious textures to her collection. From leopard ponyskin to the softest mongolian shearling meli melo’s Autumn Winter collection has plenty of arm candy worth doting over.
This month, we have asked Melissa to tell us more about the inspiration and the new designs of her collection.
What is your favourite piece this season?
The Thela Mini is my pick and I cannot live without it anymore. Everything revolves around how your bag is used and what you fit inside. And the mini is a size that fits every #MELIMELOGIRL from every country. A petit version of our classic Thela, big enough to carry your day to day life and so irresistibly cute you won’t be able to have just one. A new and exciting addition is the stylish and ever so slightly cubist giraffe ponyskin, the pattern and texture brings a special twist to the collection.
How to wear a mini bag?
I like to wear my Thela Mini Black crossbody. Not only does it look casual-fare but also chic & effortlessly stylish. Whether you are wearing a little black dress or a pair of ripped jeans, high heels or trainers, you can pull it off with everything. It is so versatile and practical that you won't want to go out without!
Can you tell us more about the new addition to the family, the Duma Clutch Bag, as seen on Hedvig Opshaug?
Inspired by the popular fashion of the ‘MUFFLER’ (hand warmer) as seen on Anna Karenina in the 1950’s, we have brought the hand muffler back! Using natural sheep shearling we’ve brought warmth and sumptuous texture to the shoulder bag and created the ideal place to tuck your hands away when it gets cold. Named after the ever so beautiful Myrsolva Duma. Playing on the idea of ‘clutchable’ comfort for winter, these shape and soft design make it easy to transform from day to evening.
